Kim lives on her five acres with her four dogs, three cats, and her husband, Randy. Kim has had a passion for animals her entire life, which inspired her to find careers where she could be around animals. She earned a degree as a Veterinarian Technician, and worked with Dr. Cechner in Elburn for seven years. Kim began doing in-home dog sitting in 1995 and shortly after she discovered the necessity of doggie daycare. Prior to opening Ruffner's Luxury Pet Boarding she opened a location in Geneva, which she owned and operated for eight years. Kim is a Certified Dog Obedience Instructor, Certified Pet Care Technician Levels 1 and 2, and a Certified Kennel Operator with Pet Care Services Association.
Tom Owner
Tom worked at the Village of Bloomingdale for 27 years until his career change with his sister, Kim. Kim and Tom opened Ruffner's Luxury Pet Boarding on March 1, 2005. Tom is married and lives on five acres with his two blue heelers, Aussie and Ivy and his children's dogs, Doxie and Sawyer. Tom's two children, Kyle and Kasey have both worked at Ruffner's since its opening.

Jenn The Manager
Jenn has been working at Ruffner's since February 2005. She lives with Lilly (pit bull), Baby Girl (rottweiler) and recently rescued Teddy Floyd (a kitten)! When she is not at Ruffner's Jenn loves to cook, read, and go to comedy clubs. Jenn is certified as a Pet Care Technician, Level 1 and 2.
Veronica
Veronica began working at Ruffner's in April 2007. She is currently the on-staff baker at our Doggie Bakery. Veronica has a 13 year old beagle, Vache, Vivian the cat, and two ferret-rescues, Beasley and Maggie. She's completed both Level 1 and 2 in Pet Care Technican Certification.
Stefanie Office Staff
Stefanie was hired in June 2007. She is a senior at Northern Illinois University, where she is majoring in English with Teacher Certification and presiding over the College Panhellenic Council. Stefanie has two dogs, Ellie Mae (border collie) and her adopted border collie/ chow mix, Toews. Stefanie is Level 1 Certified as a Pet Care Technician.
Jenni Groomer
Jenni started working at Ruffner's in November 2007. Some of her hobbies include photography, art, cooking vegetarian meals and music. Jenni has her Associates Degree in Art, and plans to go back to school to complete her B.A. Degree. Jenni is a Level 1 Certified Pet Care Technician.
Lindsey Kennel Staff / Daycare Staff
Lindsey started at Ruffner's in November 2009. She attends Waubonsee Community College and is majoring in Psychology. Lindsey's hobbies include horseback riding, sports, and running with her dog, Macy. Lindsey also has two horses, Bullet and Morgan.
Kasey K. Office Staff
Kasey has been working at Ruffner's since February 2005. Kasey is a junior at Northern Illinois University, majoring in Psychology. Kasey and her dachshund, Doxie, are inseparable. Kasey is Level 1 certified with Pet Care Services as a pet care technician.
Kyle Daycare Staff
Kyle has been working at Ruffner's since March 2006. His favorite hobby is racing one of his many cars at the Sycamore Speedway. Kyle recently adopted Sawyer, his lab-chow mix. Kyle is Level 1 Certified at a Pet Care Technician.
Most of Ruffner's employees are certified by The Pet Care Services Association as Level 1 & 2 Pet Care Technicians.
